The Two Friends Voyager: LED Moving Spaceship

It is an honor to present the Voyager. Dark Moon Designs created and oversaw all technical direction for a moving spaceship DJ table complete with a hydraulic lift and lights that do everything except launch into space. The Two Friends Voyager went on the road in 2023 and is still touring today.

Custom lighting integration and hydraulic lifts were installed onto the spaceship in this work in progress photo.

The Two Friends Voyager was attached to a hydraulic lift that could move the entire saucer 16’ into the air, putting Matt and Eli dead center in their visuals and adding a jaw dropping spectacle to the show.

Hydraulic lifts lifted the spaceship created by Dark Moon Designs into the center of the video wall on stage.

Process Details

Dark Moon Designs had the pleasure of designing and fabricating the flying saucer that would propel them through the nation and to galaxies across the universe. Two Friends has proven to be bold and inventive; we were happy to illustrate their musical ideas with an eye-catching design that could be carried across multiple tours in continuation of their narrative

We transformed the idea of a DJ table into a command console in the center of a flying saucer. Neon accents ran along all of the lines, accentuating the curves. Light up buttons across the entire top of the saucer added visual complexity. Port holes spaced along the base of the saucer concealed geysers that would periodically spew dense fog when simulating take off and landing.
